West Midlands and Wales Activities

Our autumn lunch will take place on Thursday 28th September at the Bull’s Head, Wootton Wawen, Warwickshire, which lies between Stratford upon Avon and Henley in Arden just off the A3400.  Address: Stratford Road, Wootton Wawen, Warks B95 6BD. We will meet as usual at 12.30 p.m. for lunch at around 1.0 p.m.

The Bull’s Head has a reasonably priced and extensive menu with several vegetarian options. If our numbers are as expected, we will have to pre-order. Accordingly, once we know who is coming, Michael Davies will send the attendees a copy of the menu choices/prices for them to make a decision.

The  autumn menu comes out in early September so please contact Michael by phone or e-mail by 15 September to let him  know if you intend to join us (see BAFUNCS membership list for details) to allow time for menu choices to be made.

The church at Woottton Wawen is an eclectic mix of Saxon, Norman and Early Gothic and includes a side chapel built along the lines of a tithe barn. The Saxon crossing is quite unusual and provides a surprise element to the structural integrity of the whole building. Well worth a visit and only a few yards from the Bull’s Head.

Contact details for all BAFUNCS officers are in the Membership List
